**Thought for the Month: those who first heard the message of Jesus thought you would be foolish not to believe it.
When we love someone, we want to please them. This is not to gain favor, it is a way of fully being with them, of sharing their life and their person.
You may have seen this in a small child who is helping their parent (larger self). Or when a friend extends his or her assistance to another. This friend is expanding their relationship through immersion and doing things they would not be interested in doing apart from the friend’s interest –or the parent’s affection.
Let us ask God and Pray: What would it look like to immerse myself in the larger self of you? How can I abandon myself to you–to share my life with you?
If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:15-16
